How Can We Equip Tens of Thousands of Youth?

How can we equip tens of thousands of youth to:
> Stand fast on God’s Word?
> Defend their faith?
> Be witnesses for the Gospel of Jesus Christ to their peers?

The answer
Equip Christians who directly teach youth with the knowledge and skills to teach their students:

• How to think biblically (biblical worldview).
• How to share and defend the Gospel (evangelism).
• How to think critically and analyze statements and challenges (logic).
• How to refute evolutionism (apologetics).
• How to respond to the claims of moral relativists (apologetics).
• How to recognize and respond to biblical compromise (apologetics).

This group includes Christian school teachers, youth pastors and parents.

How it will happen
Creation Training Initiative (CTI) is in the process of developing an 8-course curriculum that will meet this need. The curriculum includes the following courses:

1. Communication and Teaching Skills (already available)
2. Establishing and Defending a Biblical Worldview (in development)
3. The Bible, Science and Evolution
4. Biblical Apologetics
5. Why the Bible Is True
6. Moral Issues (sanctity of human life, biblical marriage, cloning and stem cells)
7. Evangelism/Witnessing: Responding to World Religions
8. Practicum: Explaining and Defending the Christian Faith (The Final Exam)

The Results
This series of courses will be used to certify:

1. Speakers and teachers on biblical creation and apologetics (Christian school teachers, youth pastors, parents)
2. Master apologists
3. Master teachers who can train new teachers

Through this replication and certification process, this education initiative has the potential to equip tens of thousands of youth to defend their faith and be better prepared to share and defend the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Price Tag
$460,000
This cost includes:

• The development of all eight courses
• Maintaining course updates
• Software for monitoring student progress
• Online testing software
• Multiple offerings of all eight courses over the first five years

How you can help equip students
We do need the finances to complete and implement this education initiative. Help to get us in contact with people who would be interested in supporting the initiative.

Why?
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.

Very few churches and Christian schools have anyone qualified to teach creation and apologetics. In addition, very few Christian universities teach apologetics or biblical creation. Most teach a compromised view of creation (billions of years). This lack of knowledge and compromise MUST be combated!

What we don’t teach, the world will fill in!

Creation Apologetics Teachers College

Education item 3
The Essay Scholarship Contest

Because of some generous donors, CTI is able to offer scholarships to attend the 5-day Creation Apologetics Teachers College. The scholarship is for the full cost to attend the course – $570. This includes the 5-days of training, 5-nights of lodging and 3 meals a day for five days.

How to enter
Write an essay of 450 words or less on the following challenge:
“Should Christian schools teach all views about creation (gap theory, day-age-theory, framework hypothesis, liter 6-day creation, progressive creation, God used evolution) and then let students decide for themselves what to believe?”

Rules
Applicants must be 18 years or older
Essays must be 450 words or less
All essays must be received by May 1st
Winners will be announced on May 22nd

A Final Word
God has richly blessed this nation and protected it in times of struggle, disasters and physical wars. No other nation in history has achieved what America has accomplished. But America has also long suffered from a growing spiritual struggle from within. Instead of the church changing the world, the world has changed the church. But do not despair!

As the great hymn states:

Onward, Christian soldiers!
Marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus
Going on before.
Christ, the royal Master,
Leads against the foe;
Forward into battle,
See his banners go!
