Election Results
AzOSA Board met in October to determine the AzOSA Officers for 2020. The results:

The Board approved AzOSA joining the International Association for Creation – IAC. Its purpose is to labor together in unity for the glory of Jesus Christ to proclaim the Gospel, to transform the culture, to advance the truth of God’s Word, and to promote the Biblical worldview across the whole Earth. This should give AzOSA greater exposure and increase our contacts with others who have the same goals and purpose.
A selection of books and other resources will be sold at 50% off during November events. This is a great time to obtain creation materials and purchase Christmas gifts. The sale will get more resources out into the community and generate income to purchase more new titles.
Also people attending AzOSA meetings will be asked to fill out a simple card which asks them to find out where their Pastor stands on age of the earth and the length of creation week days. We hope to gain access to more churches to speak in Sunday school classes, put on seminars, or present during Sunday morning services.

Dr. Anderson looks at the history of uniformitarianism in geologists like Charles Lyell and its impact on Darwin and materialist/naturalist origins theories. These assumptions are found in all dating methods which have become standard in making claims about the age of life and the earth. It has important bearing on how naturalists and Christians alike understand the problem of evil, the purpose of natural evil, and the original goodness of creation.
SPEAKER: Owen Anderson, Ph.D.
BIO: Dr. Owen Anderson is professor of philosophy and religious studies at Arizona State University. He has authored books and articles about the 1st Amendment, American Religious History, Natural Law, and God’s Existence. His current work is on natural theology and the knowledge of God. His work on science and religion has explored how naturalist presuppositions shape evolutionary accounts of biology and geology.

The History of Basement Rock: Creation, Pre-Flood, During the Flood, and Post Flood. There is no denying that there is at least one miracle involved with basement rock, possibly two. Together, those miracles took a few seconds or minutes to trigger the events that followed. Those following events followed the laws of physics. We will look at known physics and geological processes to see how basement rock affirms the historical accuracy of the Bible, particularly Noah’s Flood.
