The last AzOSA presentations for 2012 are in November, then holiday gift ideas take center stage! So, come to a November event and pick up Christmas gifts right there at the book table. ► Nov 15 – 7:00 PM – Tucson: Seeing God’s Design Through Chemistry. You need air? You’re not kidding! There is no substitute for oxygen in biological life and for the operation of Earth’s life support systems. What absolutely unique features of water molecules cause water to be a liquid under normal conditions and ice to be less dense than liquid water? What features of oxygen and nitrogen molecules prevent them from reacting with each other in the atmosphere under normal conditions and from dissolving in the waters on Earth? ► Nov 12 – 7:00 PM – Phoenix: Seeing God’s Design Through Chemistry. You might need air in Tucson, but perhaps even more in the Valley of the Sun! Prof. John DeKorte, Ph.D (inorganic chemisty) shows how the fundamental elements of the Universe precisely combine on Earth to permit human life in a life-supporting environment. Do you know why it is vital that water molecules cause water to be a liquid under normal conditions and ice to be less dense than liquid water? Did you know certain features of oxygen and nitrogen molecules prevent them from reacting with each other in the atmosphere under normal conditions and from dissolving in the waters of the Earth? How does the movement and chemical operation of oxygen in our bodies reflect the indescribable genius of a Creator God? This kind of chemistry has soul!
► Nov 13 – 7:00 PM – Tempe: Seeing God’s Design Through Chemistry. Dr. DeKorte provides the same presentation at a location nearer East and South Valley residents. If you miss the Monday talk, come to this one.
► Nov 14 – 7:00 PM – Arizona Christian University (Phoenix): Seeing God’s Design Through Chemistry. On campus but open to the public, Dr. DeKorte’s oxygen-enriched presentation comes to the academic environment with information even non-science people should know and can readily understand. Last chance in the Phoenix area!
