Bring hat, sunglasses, water, camera and binoculars, dress for hiking. Includes catered lunch for a modest donation to New Creation Ministries either online or on the day. ► March 17 – 7:00 PM – Phoenix: Transformed By The Evidence. A new book published in 2014 reveals the transforming testimonies of 28 scientists, most of whom were atheists until they saw first hand how the unbiased scientific evidence points to creation rather than evolution. Larry Kisner, AzOSA board member holding degrees in math and physics and one of the authors, will present the record of scientific evidence that caused these individuals to change their minds concerning evolution, leading them to embrace the creationist worldview. Many of the authors faced challenging questions concerning faith, science and the Bible. In addition, many authors experienced intensive personal sacrifice, pain and despair, but find out why none of them would return to a life of unbelief and doubt as this presentation recounts the transformations that took place in their lives as a result of their study of science showing support rather than contradiction with the Scriptures. Several of the authors included in this talk are familiar to AzOSA members: Russ Miller, Guy Forsythe, Tom Vail, and Russ Humphreys. A moving testimony of Kitty Foth-Regner is also included, as well as reasons why educated people reject Darwinism by Dr. Jerry Bergman.

If enough time is given, can complex life forms evolve from a single cell? Why have some scientists actually decided to believe life on Earth was seeded here by aliens? March 25 – 7:00 PM – Payson Public Library: Astronomy for the Creationist. Fascinating features of the Moon, Sun, and solar eclipses and why solar eclipses have given us the opportunity to learn so much about the universe start off this presentation, followed by interesting facts about the other planets and their moons and comets that demonstrate the solar system is young. The significance of spiral arms in galaxies, Earth’s position in the Milky Way and heavy elements in the “early” universe are discussed as well in Dr. Kezele’s new presentation.

If enough people show interest, one or both programs can roll out in 2014. It is imperative that we hear from interested people, however; neither program will take place unless certain minimum numbers of students sign up.
