The Big Bang
By Dr. Joseph Kezele
The first question to ask is: “Where did the stuff to go bang with come from?”
There are only three possibilities: 1) The universe created itself. This is obviously impossible. Even the Broadway team of Rogers and Hammerstein could figure this out. In The Sound of Music Maria sings her love to the Captain – “Nothing comes from nothing. Nothing ever could.” This encapsulates the First Law of Thermodynamics, that neither energy nor matter can be created nor destroyed.
2) The universe has always existed. This relates to the Second Law of Thermodynamics, that the amount of energy available to do work is continually decreasing. A way to picture this is while driving your red hot Mustang convertible, chemical energy in the form of gasoline is burned up to be converted into mechanical energy to push your Mustang along. But that conversion is only about 20% efficient. When you stop and get out, you momentarily place your hand on the hood, and quickly remove it so not to be burned, because the heat released is considerable. That heat then dissipates into the atmosphere and then into the cosmos. Eventually all of the energy in the universe would equalize, the lights (stars) would go out, and only darkness and death would prevail. This is all that the evolutionary scenario has to offer in the future. If the universe were eternal, then the energy would have already run out, and we would not be here.
3) The universe was created by an outside intelligent force. This is the only logical possibility. This is succinctly stated in Genesis 1:1 – “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” In the beginning (Beresheet) establishes time. God (Elohim) is in the plural, because all three person\s of the trinity were present at creation. Created (bara) is a verb that can only be applied to the God of the Bible. It means he spoke into existence the matter and energy by the power of His Word. The heavens (et hashamayim) refers to the space to hold the matter and energy, the cosmos. The earth (et haarets) refers to the elements, the atoms, not the planet. The formation of the planet was completed on Day 3 of creation week.
Because of the preceding problem for the Big Bang Theory, proponents only want to address what they assumed happened when it supposedly occurred. They state that from an incredibly small pinpoint, which they call a singularity, all of the energy in the universe expanded by a factor of around 10 followed by 26 zeroes in far less than a trillionth of a second. Later on energy began to convert into matter. Subcomponents of formed neutrons, protons and electrons, which then organized into atoms, then stars, then galaxies. There is no explanation for what triggered the Big Bang, just as there is no explanation for the origin of the singularity, but it is given a name, quantum fluctuation. This is total speculation.
The theory has multiple severe problems due to the fact that what is actually observed by astronomers does not support the theory. Band-aids are patched onto it in attempts to rescue it. But these band-aids subsequently require more band-aids.
Eight major problems with the theory are listed for you to investigate. There is not space to discuss them in this article. 1) Missing monopoles. 2) The flatness problem. 3) Inflating the complexities. 4) Missing antimatter. 5) Missing Population III stars. 6) Heavier elements in stars. 7) Dark energy 8) Dark matter.
I quote from “An Open Letter to the Scientific Community”, originally signed by thirty-four secular astronomers and physicists in 2004, and as of January 18, 2020, 426 additional scientists have signed this letter.
“The big bang relies on a growing number of hypothetical entities: things that we have never observed– inflation, dark matter and dark energy are the most prominent examples. Without them there would be a fatal contradiction between the observations made by astronomers and the predictions of the big bang theory. In no other field of physics would this continual recourse to new hypothetical objects be accepted as a way of bridging the gap between theory and observation. But the big bang can’t survive without these fudge factors. ….” You can read the entire letter at this web site.

In summary, it takes more faith to believe in the Big Bang than it does to believe the history the God of the Bible gives us in Genesis. Actual observations are consistent with Scripture, for the author of the Word is the author of the world, He is one and the same, and He does not contradict Himself.
Does Absolute Truth Exist?
by Mike Riddle
There are only two possible answers to this question – yes or no. Either there is something that is absolutely true all the time or there is not. To argue that there is no absolute truth is itself a truth statement and contradicts the response. Therefore, the only remaining option is, truth exists.
What if a person (say John) responds, “I don’t believe there is absolute truth.” Based on his answer truth becomes a matter of personal belief. Why should I, or anyone, hold to John’s personal belief? In addition, if John is not sure absolute truth exists, then how can he trust his own response? It could be true, or it may not be true. Therefore, his response becomes irrelevant because it can’t be trusted.
An Absolute Truth
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
Jesus is the only way that leads to the Father.
Jesus not only teaches truth, He is Truth.
Jesus is the only one who gives eternal life to fallen man.
Some Questions About Billions of Years
Question 1: If you are a Christian and believe in billions of years and reject evolution; then, what was God doing for those billions of years?
Question 2: What was His purpose for waiting billions of years?
What the Bible Teaches
The timeline from today back to Abraham is about 4,000 years. Based on the genealogies in Genesis 5, the timeline from Abraham back to Adam is about 2,000 years. Therefore, if we believe in an old earth (about four billion years), it means the Bible only gives us information for less than .00002% of all history. Why would God start His creation and wait for billions of years to continue His creation and not tell us anything about it? To add billions of years into Scripture just creates another mystery.

Is the Earth really billions of years old? What would happen to the theory of evolution if “deep time” is simply a myth? No doubt you are convinced that most scientists endorse long ages but most scientists have no clue how the Earth is dated. REALITY: current evidence from geology and paleontology is presented to support the biblical timeline since creation.
