The Saturday, June 12 AzOSA field trip has not sold enough seats to break even. If you have contemplated going, PLEASE sign up ASAP! We have committed to this and do not want to loose money on it. It is a wonderful experience. The full day trip includes a color booklet of local geological facts and evidence supporting a global flood, DVDs on the luxury coach bus, three stops on the canyon rim, a short hike to see “Secret fossils”, and a stop at the IMAX Grand Canyon Theater. Park-and-ride at Anthem saves you the drive up to Camp Verde or Flagstaff. The scenery is fantastic and the information presented radically different than what is offered by the Park Service. Not everyone can go on a 3 or 7-day raft trip in the Grand Canyon, so here’s the next best thing – a ½ day raft trip starting at Glen Canyon Dam at Page, Arizona, and floating 15 scenic miles downstream to historic Lee’s Ferry! AzOSA has chartered the entire raft, so don’t miss out! Jim Clarke, AzOSA Resident Geologist, will be on hand to discuss the area’s geology. This event is “kid friendly” for ages 4 and up! We have sold 14 of 22 seats for the raft trip and if we don’t fill the raft, we must forfeit our exclusive charter and will have to cancel the trip. Creation Research Society is hosting a free banquet on June 19 for anyone wanting to learn more about the Society at the University Room, Hilton Garden Inn, 3422 E. Elwood, Phoenix; doors open at 6:15pm with buffet dinner served at 6:30. Scheduled speakers are Dr. Don DeYoung, Dr. Russ Humphreys, Dr. Danny Faulkner and Dr. Kevin Anderson. Other members of the CRS board are also anticipated to attend. Free literature, books, and an assortment of door prizes will be given away. This is an excellent opportunity to meet many of the leaders of the Creation Research Society, hear more about the various activities of the Society, and to learn more about ways to support and connect with the work of the Society.
