AzOSA at Tucson Festival of Books
AzOSA will sponsor a booth in the Science Area at the Tucson Festival of Books on March 9th and 10th between 9:00 and 5:30pm. Our goal is to make our presence known in the Tucson community and convey the trustworthiness of God’s word from cover to cover. With an anticipated attendance of well-over 100,000 this is an incredible opportunity.
We need lots of help to staff the booth throughout both days and for setup and tear-down. If you are available to assist in any way please contact us at festival@azosa.org
Maricopa County Events
► Jan 14 – 7:00 PM – Phoenix: Created to Fly – Biological Inspiration for Advanced Aircraft. Bird design has inspired the designers of flying machines for over a century. Flying creatures have features that show irreducible complexity and thus reveal God’s creative actions. Advances in robotics, computer simulation, aviation have produced amazing designs of flying machines also, but they do not even approach God’s design genius on display in birds and bats. Larry Kisner, who holds degrees in mathematics and physics (including the M.S.), delivers this uplifting presentation one night only!
► Jan 15 – 7:00 PM – Tempe: Arizona Volcanism from a Biblical Perspective. Did you know that more than 30% of the land surface in Arizona is characterized by volcanic features? Jim Clarke, B.S. Geology, M.S. Hydrological Engineering, shows how Arizona long ago was one of the most volcanically active locations on Earth. But when did this volcanism occur? Did it occur over hundreds of millions of years according to the secular timescale – or – within the last 6,500 years according to the Bible? Learn about the different types of volcanoes and enjoy seeing a Biblical explanation for their presence in Arizona. Tempe only – be sure to come and fill the live audience for video taping!

In Tucson on January 17 7:00PM Dr. Joseph Kezele (ACU professor of biology) Presents: CRITTERS! Fascinating fun facts that fracture the fairy tale of evolution. Interesting oddities about various animals that could only have been created, thus demonstrating the impossibility of their arising through evolution. When we share these facts with people, they can realize there is a Creator, and the Gospel becomes meaningful to them.

Cochise County Winter Seminar
In Sierra Vista on January 19, Dr. Joseph Kezele (ACU professor of biology) delivers a three part seminar covering a variety of subjects sure to captivate:
● 9:00 a.m. – Dinosaurs! See how the evolutionary views and the Biblical concept of dinosaurs conflicted through time, explore the “myths” of dragons, read Scriptural references to dinosaurs, and examine the historical and physical evidence that dinosaurs lived recently. They were real, on a planet so close, close to you, not so long, long ago, and definitely not for the birds!
● 10:00 a.m. – Why They Don’t Listen! Talking to people about the Bible and Creation Science can be frustrating, depending upon what the listeners’ starting points are. But the challenge is not really new. Compare the Apostle Peter’s situation in Jerusalem where he was speaking to an audience who had a foundation in Scripture (Acts 2) with that of the Apostle Paul in Athens where he addressed people who knew nothing of Scripture (Acts 17). Soberly reflecting upon the intellectual climate in America and other countries, it becomes clear that Paul’s situation is ours, so we need to approach initiating evangelism with the creation account.
● 11:00 a.m. – CRITTERS! Fascinating fun facts that fracture the fairy tale of evolution. Interesting oddities about various animals that could only have been created, thus demonstrating the impossibility of their arising through evolution. When we share these facts with people, they can realize there is a Creator, and the Gospel becomes meaningful to them.

Yavapai County Winter Seminar
In Prescott on January 19, Dr. John R. Nay (B.Sc., M.S.L., Ph.D.) delivers a three-part seminar that jumps squarely into the hot worldview subjects needed by all Christians:
● 9:00 a.m. – Creation Science (overview). Have you heard Creation Science called an “oxymoron?” Are the two words direct opposites of each other, and how do you answer the charge? This session charges right into that controversy, and looks carefully at key issues: what is “proof”? Is “proof” relative or absolute? Is it only religious people that are “religious”?
● 10:00 a.m. – Design Demands a Designer (Teleology). Nearly every discussion of Creation or God must churn with questions about the “first cause” of the Universe. The Bible makes an unmistakable, strong statement in Psalm 14:1: “The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God….’“ Come hear and discuss how the laws of causation (cause-effect) make a Creator necessary to the Universe. Time permitting, a tough question will be addressed also: Where did God come from?
● 11:00 a.m. – The World Before the Flood. What might the world before the Flood have been like? What about the longevity of life prior to the Flood? Was the Flood of Genesis a local flood or a global flood according to Scripture? What do Earth Sciences have to say about the Flood of Genesis?

Letter Thanking AzOSA for Grand Canyon Success
“Dear AZOSA Members,
“I want to thank you all for your support in making last week’s Grand Canyon Leadership Tour take place. Thanks to our combined efforts the eyes of many church leaders were opened to both the importance of biblical creation and to the God-honoring interpretation of our state’s number one attraction, the Grand Canyon.
“54 Christian leaders, including Senior Pastors, Youth Pastors, Worship Leaders, Children’s Pastors, Christian school Teachers and Radio Station Managers, went on the tour. Many of their spouses attended as well. We also had a standby list of 20 others who wanted to attend.
“One person told me, ‘Russ, I had never given any thought to the issue of old-earth beliefs placing death before Adam.’ I truly believe the fruit from this trip will be far reaching and long lasting.
“This event would never have taken place without AZOSA. Thanks again for teaming up with us on this powerful Christian journey and for your efforts to serve our Creator, Judge and redeeming Savior, Lord Jesus the Christ.
“God bless you, Russ & Joanna Miller

Letter of Thanks from Radio Shine
Sally Barton, Station Manager of Radio Shine, 90.9 FM in Prescott, expressed her expressed her appreciation for the Grand Canyon trip: “The face and love of God is nowhere more evident than His unparalleled canyon, with the breathtaking colors and light. Through your irrefutable evidence we can now more intelligently discuss Biblical creation. Our trip to the Grand Canyon was unforgettable, one that we will encourage others to experience. We are so very grateful that we had the opportunity to join fellow believers in traveling back to Noah’s time. Thank you David, thank you Russ, for sharing with Roger, me and Nancy your love for our Lord and your comprehensive research.”
Creation Science Hall of Fame – Nominate Your Fave!
Open Letter to Christians and Friends of the CSHF: “The Creation Science Hall of Fame is your site. As directors of the CSHF, we want all creationists to feel part of this movement, web site and future building. We want to support all of the worlds’ best creationists….meaning those who have worked in the creation science field for a decent amount of time and who have Honored God’s Word as literally written in Genesis. We want to recognize Creation clubs, museums, Creation organizations as well as placing those who participate in the Creation Science arena on the Honorable Mention page of the CSHF web site.
“We can’t do this alone. We need your help … in building the first ever Creation Science Hall of Fame. It will be a place to honor and recognize those creationists who have dedicated their time and resources to demonstrate that God’s Word can be trusted. … In the spirit of Hebrews 11, and Romans 13:7, we seek to preserve the testimony and give honor where honor is due for all that the Christian community owes our inductees. We intend to have exhibits with pictures of Creationists, their stories, and artifacts of living as well as deceased Creationists. Over the years people will remember the contributions these people made to the world. If these men and women Creationists pass on, no one will remember their accomplishments, theories, bio-artifacts, etc., because their belongings, i.e., papers, signatures, photos, etc., will be scattered to future beneficiary basements only to be discarded in the future.
The Creation Science Hall of Fame will be a safe haven for those who would otherwise be forgotten. It will demonstrate to the world that there were and are reputable scientists who demonstrated a Super Natural Creation and showed that Darwinian Evolution was not possible.
“I’m asking you to partner with us and help build the first ever Creation Science Hall of Fame. You may donate any amount and we will place you or your family names on the ‘Wall of Honor’ inside the Creation Science Hall of Fame. Just click on ‘donate’ upon viewing the web site: Creation Science Hall of Fame. All inductees are encouraged to start collecting their Bio-Artifacts. In Christ, Nick Lally, Chairman, Board of Directors, The Creation Science Hall of Fame ”
