SUMMARY OF PRESENTATION: The Grand Canyon exposes nearly one mile of rock layers that are evidence of past events. The interpretation of these events is based on one’s world view. Secular geologists have concluded that the deepest rocks found in the Grand Canyon are one to two billion years old and the thick sequence of sedimentary rocks were slowly deposited over hundreds of millions of years. Was the Grand Canon formed millions of years ago as secular scientists teach, or is there another view? This lecture presents geologic evidence from the Grand Canyon and more recent geologic events, such as Mt. St. Helens that show the Grand Canyon was formed by a catastrophic event.
