A Flood Model for the Chinle Formation

Summary:

The Chinle Formation is an extensive sedimentary rock unit that outcrops extensively in the Western United States.  It forms what we call the Painted Desert and is the host rock for the petrified wood found at Petrified Forest National Park and other places. This presentation discusses the following:
– How the Chinle Formation fits in the Flood Model;
– When the Chinle Formation was deposited during the Flood; and,
– A possible origin for the Chinle Formation
