MARICOPA COUNTY EVENTS

Phoenix: Mon. July 21 – How Science is Done. Have you ever heard the claim that Christians are "against science"? That's easy to debunk after you see Guy Forsythe's presentation that shows how the logic and methods of science fit well with the Christian approach. Guy's warmly powerful speaking style empowers you with a clear understanding of:
 

• The roles of assumptions and worldview in scientific investigation
• Historical (or Forensic) Science vs Operational Science (how Bill Nye got it all wrong)
• The roles of inductive, deductive and abductive logic in scientific investigations (not nearly as difficult as the terms seem)

• Why "falsification" is the essence of scientific investigation

In this location convenient to the East Valley, Guy Forsythe reprises the fundamentals every Christian thinker, speaker and believer should know. If you haven't confronted your doubts and questions about how science and religion relate together, then this is the time and place!

Tucson: Thurs. July 17 – How Science is Done. For Tucson and anywhere within driving distance, Guy Forsythe brings his foundational presentation to equip Christians with a clear understanding of science, its methods and its limitations.

Payson: Tues. July 29 – The Illusion of Human Evolution. Still among the hottest topics on the American scene: is "macro evolution" a proven fact of science – or – a disintegrating relic of the 19th Century? Pete Greer, an educator and local resident, compares the evolutionary and biblical history of man. Does the evidence show humans had "primitive" ancestors? Does the fossil record the traditional Darwinian view? Does the Biblical view of human history make rational sense? Which worldview spawned racism, hedonism, and the century of genocide? The Biblical truths and the Christian faith point to an amazingly brighter eternity. Bring the kids – Pete shows some terrific optical illusions as illustrations!

Origin Science on the Radio in Arizona!

To get the truth about the origins of the Universe, of the Earth, of Life and of Mankind out to the general public, veteran speaker Sal Giardina is developing a radio program to air on 50,000 watt KFNX. AzOSA is supporting that project financially, and when it airs, AzOSA speakers will be welcome to extend the message all over the state and streaming over the Internet. Grand Canyon University Job Opportunities – Urgent

Two academic positions need to be filled at GCU this fall – can you help? One is as an Instructor of a Biology Lab section. The other is to teach a course in Anatomy along with its lab section. Become the Origin Scientist You Want to Be

Imagine – plan – execute – triumph! That’s how big life moves occur. Imagine sitting comfortably in your home, partaking in an immense education in origin science.
