Jan 15 – 7:00 p.m. – Tempe: Arizona Volcanism from a Biblical Perspective.

Did you know that more than 30% of the land surface in Arizona is characterized by volcanic features? Jim Clarke, B.S. Geology, M.S. Hydrological Engineering, shows how Arizona long ago was one of the most volcanically active locations on Earth. But when did this volcanism occur? Did it occur over hundreds of millions of years according to the secular timescale – or – within the last 6,500 years according to the Bible? Learn about the different types of volcanoes and enjoy seeing a Biblical explanation for their presence in Arizona. Tempe only

– be sure to come and fill the live audience for video taping!

Don’t forget the other January events all over Arizona, especially the two big seminars!

Maricopa County Events

► Jan 14 – 7:00 p.m. – Phoenix: Created to Fly – Biological Inspiration for Advanced Aircraft. Bird design has inspired the designers of flying machines for over a century. Flying creatures have features that show irreducible complexity and thus reveal God’s creative actions. Advances in robotics, computer simulation, aviation have produced amazing designs of flying machines also, but they do not even approach God’s design genius on display in birds and bats. Larry Kisner, who holds degrees in mathematics and physics (including the M.S.), delivers this uplifting presentation one night only!

Pima County Events

In Tucson on January 17 7:00 p.m., Dr. Joseph Kezele (ACU professor of biology) Presents: CRITTERS! Fascinating fun facts that fracture the fairy tale of evolution. Interesting oddities about various animals that could only have been created, thus demonstrating the impossibility of their arising through evolution. When we share these facts with people, they can realize there is a Creator, and the Gospel becomes meaningful to them.

Cochise County Winter Seminar

In Sierra Vista on January 19, Dr. Joseph Kezele (ACU professor of biology) delivers a three part seminar covering a variety of subjects sure to captivate:

● 9:00 a.m. – Dinosaurs!

See how the evolutionary views and the Biblical concept of dinosaurs conflicted through time, explore the “myths” of dragons, read Scriptural references to dinosaurs, and examine the historical and physical evidence that dinosaurs lived recently. They were real, on a planet so close, close to you, not so long, long ago, and definitely not for the birds!

● 10:00 a.m. – Why They Don’t Listen!

Talking to people about the Bible and Creation Science can be frustrating, depending upon what the listeners’ starting points are. But the challenge is not really new. Compare the Apostle Peter’s situation in Jerusalem where he was speaking to an audience who had a foundation in Scripture (Acts 2) with that of the Apostle Paul in Athens where he addressed people who knew nothing of Scripture (Acts 17). Soberly reflecting upon the intellectual climate in America and other countries, it becomes clear that Paul’s situation is ours, so we need to approach initiating evangelism with the creation account.

● 11:00 a.m. – CRITTERS!

Fascinating fun facts that fracture the fairy tale of evolution. Interesting oddities about various animals that could only have been created, thus demonstrating the impossibility of their arising through evolution. When we share these facts with people, they can realize there is a Creator, and the Gospel becomes meaningful to them.

Yavapai County Winter Seminar

In Prescott on January 19, Dr. John R. Nay (B.Sc., M.S.L., Ph.D.) delivers a three-part seminar that jumps squarely into the hot worldview subjects needed by all Christians:

● 9:00 a.m. – Creation Science (overview).

Have you heard Creation Science called an “oxymoron?” Are the two words direct opposites of each other, and how do you answer the charge? This session charges right into that controversy, and looks carefully at key issues: what is “proof”? Is “proof” relative or absolute? Is it only religious people that are “religious”?

● 10:00 a.m. – Design Demands a Designer (Teleology).

Nearly every discussion of Creation or God must churn with questions about the “first cause” of the Universe. The Bible makes an unmistakable, strong statement in Psalm 14:1: “The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God….’” Come hear and discuss how the laws of causation (cause-effect) make a Creator necessary to the Universe. Time permitting, a tough question will be addressed also: Where did God come from?

● 11:00 a.m. – The World Before the Flood.

What might the world before the Flood have been like? What about the longevity of life prior to the Flood? Was the Flood of Genesis a local flood or a global flood according to Scripture? What do Earth Sciences have to say about the Flood of Genesis?
