Cochise Fall Seminar in Sierra Vista – Sat., Oct. 20
►9 am Why the Earth is Young!
A look at Scripture showing how the Bible clearly states that the Earth is young, only thousands of years old. It ends with a brief mention of Carbon-14 in diamonds.
►10 am Astronomy for the Creationist
Fascinating features of the Moon, Sun and solar eclipses and why solar eclipses have given us the opportunity to learn so much about the universe start off this presentation. We then explore interesting facts about the other planets and their moons and comets, that demonstrate that the solar system is young. The significance of spiral arms in galaxies, Earth’s position in the Milky Way, and heavy elements in the “early” universe are discussed.
►11 am Who Were the Ape-men?
Opens with the Biblical account of the creation of man, is followed by the evolutionary starting assumptions, and then compares various anatomical features of man, simians and the fossils. Then the three ways to make an ape-man are presented, followed by a dismantling of our supposed ancestral family tree.
