Sal Giardina – March Speaker

Is the Biblical Creation Account Compatible with Science?. Presented by Sal Giardina, (holding a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and M.S. in Geology) of New Creation Ministries.  See why you do not need a PhD in Hebrew to understand the creation account.  Learn why the Gap Theory is not compatible with scripture.  Find out which experiment on the ISS (International Space Station) provides support for the creation account.  Hear how scripture itself provides us with knowledge of the origin of the Day 1 “first light”.  Understand what is really meant by the scripture: …one day is as a thousand years and a thousand years is as a day.  Know how to relate John 1:1 to the emerging new field of Information Science.  Please go to AzOSA Events for details.

Lost Dutchman Hike & Wild Flower Expedition March 27

One of Arizona’s most intriguing and scenic spots:  the fabled Superstition Mountains!   Mysteries, legends of gold, and lost mines beckon even today!  Lost Dutchman State Park is slated to close in a few months, so come see it now!

Jim Clarke, AzOSA Resident Geologist, will lead a moderate hike on the Siphon Draw Trail to discuss the area’s geology.  Did you know that the Superstition Mountains area was once the site of a huge volcanic event?   Come on out and learn more!  The hike is about 1~2 hours long, but you can turn back at any point.  This event is “kid friendly”.  Click HERE for details.

Church Survey Impact

The following is the last paragraph in a letter written by a Pastor whose views on Genesis were radically changed after discussion with Edwin Zimmer, AzOSA Church Survey Coordinator:

Ed, I wanted to share this with you and thank you for your passion to have an understanding of God’s word.  Hopefully this will help us to defend the Word and to lead people to Christ with an intellectual and scientific viewpoint.  Obviously, you can tell I need to change my answer to question # 5. LOL !

Love you brother, God bless and thanks again for challenging me so God could change me!!!!  Pastor Billy
